迪士尼傳奇藝術家Glen Keane用虛擬實境作畫
迪士尼傳奇動畫師Glen Keane創作了一系列知名的人物，包括阿拉丁、美女與野獸中的野獸、小美人魚，自從他2012年離開迪士尼後，就加入了ATAP的Spotlight Stories，並創作了短影集Duet。
根據Engadget，Glen最新的動畫創作是在虛擬實境繪畫名為Step Into the Page的短篇動畫，由Ashley Rodholm執導，將會在10月的未來故事高峰會亮相。
影片將展現Glen Keane如何用虛擬實境讓動畫人物活靈活現!製作使用的是HTC Vive頭戴式顯示器與Google Tile Brush筆刷。
以下是我們在舊金山展覽上看到利用Tile Brush筆刷所做的360度沉浸式視頻。這些圖像都是用Tilt Brush所做，在虛擬實境中展現，你可以實際”走”入這些繪畫中。這是我體驗過最酷最驚奇的虛擬應用了!它改變了我們創作繪畫與體驗藝術的方式!
Glen Keane’s animation display ” Duet ” at Google I/O 2014:
“What I realized about VR or AR is that we’re not going to really conquer that unless we really have time to master the craft, because it’s a craft like sculpting or painting. You can’t just give someone a paintbrush who hasn’t held one before and ask them to create the Sistine Chapel … The tool is there, but it’s going to take patience and time.” ( via Engadget )
